STARTING YOUR CAREER
No Hassle. At HCCA, we are experienced at effectively guiding nurses through the process of beginning a career in the U.S. – from start to finish. We simplify an overwhelming and complex process to make this life-changing transition as easy and stress-free as possible. All services are at no cost to you.* We will answer your questions, guide you through the paperwork and celebrate milestones together with you.
Simplified Immigration Process. The immigration process to work in the U.S. may take more time and perseverance than relocating to most other countries. Although the timeframe may vary, generally it takes 12 to 18 months after you are hired to complete the immigration process. If you already have a CGFNS Certificate, we can immediately submit your application for a Green Card. This may reduce the timeline by as much as four-to-six months. HCCA International has the best processing team in the industry and will be with you every step of the way.
Comprehensive Training. HCCA offers comprehensive training, review programs and practice tests to help you pass all the required exams to receive your nursing license and practice in the U.S. Through self-study and class work, we train you to pass both the IELTS and NCLEX exams. In addition, HCCA International evaluates each nurse in Core Competencies in four areas – technical skills, interpersonal skills, critical thinking and the role of a professional registered nurse. This assessment determines an individual development program that is formulated specifically for you. Acculturation training is also offer to prepare you for differences in working and living in the U.S.
Great places to work. HCCA International has client hospitals throughout the United States. We offer opportunities to live in small communities, large cities, urban and suburban environments - in hospitals both large and small. And as our list of clients continues to grow every day, you will have an opportunity to choose a location and medical facility that best suits your family and lifestyle.
With YOU all the way. You will never feel alone as you start your new life in the U.S. A member of our client services staff is assigned to help you through this exciting new transition and assure that you are comfortable and successful in your new job. You can count on them to be there with you all the way – from greeting you at the airport, locating a place to live and setting up a bank account . . . to assuring you have transportation and everything you need to start your new job at the hospital.
Security & Stability. Your contract with HCCA International is for 30 months so it will not be necessary for you and your family to move around. The majority of our client hospitals offer permanent positions to our nurses once their 30-month contract with HCCA has been completed. This offers you security and stability as you begin a life in the U.S.
Competitive Salary & Benefits. You will be offered a full salary, comparable to the wage determined by the U.S. Department of Labor for your assigned hospital location, as well as benefits. Many nurses are attracted to opportunities that offer higher salaries … but it is important to consider that cost of living in those areas is typically higher as well.
*Note: Fees are paid for first take of the NCLEX and IELTS exams. Subsequent attempts to pass will be your responsibility.
