Management Systems
HCCA has rapidly moved to the forefront of worldwide hospital management by demonstrating that hospital management and administration could be considerably improved through the use of innovative hospital management techniques. With the awarding of its first international hospital contract, HCCA began implementing and adapting innovative hospital management techniques developed by its former parent company, Hospital Corporation of America (HCA). Through the design and construction of new hospitals and modernization of older facilities, HCCA manages its hospitals with efficiency and cost effectiveness, while maximizing patient care quality.

The key to HCCA's successful performance is its underlying belief in, and adherence to, the principle that every healthcare provider is unique and must be administered with the objective of fulfilling the needs of the people that it serves.

HCCA is committed to tailoring its overall management approach, as well as its systems, procedures, and operations, to the environment in which it is operating. HCCA works closely with its clients and local health care providers, offering management services designed to ensure the most appropriate standards of care with respect for cultural and environmental conditions.

Patient Care Standards
HCCA is fully committed to establishing and maintaining the highest level of quality health care delivery in owned or managed hospitals. Globally, HCCA strives to exceed appropriate standards set forth by accrediting organizations within the United States and other countries. Used as guidelines for establishing policies, procedures and healthcare practices, these standards are adopted to the local environment, implemented, and continuously reviewed to ensure the highest possible degree of patient care.

Managed Care Delivery Systems
HCCA has firsthand experience in the organization and administration of international managed care payment plans. In 1979, HCCA acquired Brazil’s AMICO health maintenance organization with 650,000 subscribers, five hospitals and 55 clinics. Until this division was successfully divested in 1990, millions of dollars were spent to provide new clinics and hospitals as well as advanced technology to benefit its customers. During this period, AMICO became a leader and model for other health care providers in Brazil and was the first health care organization to import a lithotripter for the treatment of kidney stones.

Operational Policies and Procedures
HCCA has developed administrative policies and procedures for hospital-wide application, as well as various clinical and support departments.
HCCA is committed to thoroughly review existing policies, procedures and systems in newly acquired or managed hospitals. With consideration to the local culture, HCCA implements those changes which result in a more efficient, cost-effective operation consistent with its high standards of patient care.

HCCA International Staff Recruitment
Unlike most hospital management companies, HCCA has an in-house international staff recruitment company that is certified by the Joint Commission. Over the years, HCCA International has developed a worldwide network of recruitment offices whose professional staff is able to respond to the health care manpower needs of its projects in the United States and around the world.

With offices, currently operating in the United States; London, England; Manila, Philippines, and satellite offices in India, HCCA International screens, evaluates, and selects qualified international personnel in a variety of health care categories for deployment anywhere in the world.

HCCA International’s experience and proven track record, with successful selection and placement of approximately 30,000 employees for its hospital projects around the world, reflects its expertise in providing quality international health care personnel to its clients.
